An Early Morning Walk
An Early Morning Walk
Tonto and I go for a short walk every morning, as part of our fitness program. Of late it has been around Hilton's Hawaiian Village, just across from our lanai. Yesterday on our walk we discovered two large snails in a conjugal embrace. We had never seen this before. And, this morning we saw them again, but this time they were apart."Do you suppose they are finished,?" Tonto said.
There were the usual workers making ready for the tourists. All very normal.
But it has become my habit of writing stories and such in my head, while walking. And so the walk produced this poem:
Where have you gone
September?
With your sweet kiss of
Autumn
Standing here
in the middle of
October
I miss
you
All of this took place after taking our 92year old friend to the airport at 4:30am.
And, now as the day continues to unwind, we await the arrival of a plumber. Taking note of the time difference, How has been your day?
Aloha
Grant
